5 Myths About Your Breast Cancer Risk

1) If I have a family history, I am definitely at high risk. While this may be true, it’s usually not. Most breast cancers are not genetic, and with one in eight women getting breast cancer, almost all of us will have a family history of some sort. If your fifty-year old cousin Elsie and your ninety-year old Great Aunt Bertha have breast cancer but your mother and sister don’t, your risk is probably not increased. But if your mother and sister were both diagnosed with breast cancer before menopause, your risk is definitely higher.

2) Big breasts are more likely to get breast cancer. Breast size is not related to cancer risk. While examining and screening larger breasts takes more time and attention, large breasts are at no higher risk than small breasts of developing breast cancer.

3) Because I have fibrocystic breasts and my breasts hurt, I might have breast cancer. The majority of breast cancers are painless, and most breast pain does not relate to breast cancer. Many women have fibrocystic breasts. In fact, what we used to call fibrocystic breast disease, we now call fibrocystic change, since it’s so common and normal. Most women with fibrocystic change do not have an increased risk of breast cancer.

4) If I use hormone replacement or birth control pills, I will die of breast cancer. There is conflicting evidence about the effect of hormones on breast cancer risk. While some evidence supports the idea that using hormones will increase your risk of breast cancer, this risk is very, very small and most likely represents growth of a preexisting cancer. In major studies, women who use hormones (hormone replacement or birth control pills) do not have an increased risk of dying of breast cancer compared to women who have not used hormones.

5) Mammograms will prevent me from getting breast cancer. While most experts recommend mammography for decreasing breast cancer risk, mammograms are an imperfect test and can miss breast cancers. Breast thermograms, which evaluate blood flow and heat, may help to pick up early changes that may lead to breast cancer, while the changes may still be reversible. While breast thermograms are not well studied and may still miss breast cancers, they may have benefit for young women at high risk for whom mammography doesn’t serve as a good screening tool. Mammography, and possibly thermography, can reduce your risk of dying from breast cancer.

5 Important Things to Know About Mammograms

They can save your life. Finding breast cancer early reduces your risk of dying from the disease by 25-30% or more. Women should begin having mammograms yearly at age 40, or earlier if they're at high risk.

Don't be afraid. Mammography is a fast procedure (about 20 minutes), and discomfort is minimal for most women. The procedure is safe: there's only a very tiny amount of radiation exposure from a mammogram. To relieve the anxiety of waiting for results, go to a center that will give you results before you leave.

Get the best quality you can. If you have dense breasts or are under age 50, try to get a digital mammogram. A digital mammogram is recorded onto a computer so that doctors can enlarge certain sections to look at them more closely.

Other tips:
Bring your past mammogram films/results with you. If you’ve been to the same facility before, make sure your past results are available to whoever is reading the study.

Once you find a facility you have confidence in, try to go there every year, so that your mammograms can be compared from year to year.

Have more than one radiologist read your study, if your insurance covers this.

Ask if your center has CAD — computer-aided detection — a tool that assists the radiologist in finding any areas of concern that need further attention.

If you’ve been referred for a mammogram because of a suspicious lump or a finding on another test, make sure your doctor includes a detailed note as to why the mammogram has been ordered. For example, if the doctor felt a lump in the upper portion of the breast, closer to the underarm, the note might say, “palpable mass in the upper outer quadrant, left breast, rule out abnormality.” Be prepared to talk about previous unusual findings or symptoms with the technologist who performs the mammogram.

Work with your doctor to compare your mammogram results with any other tests you may have had done, such as ultrasound or MRI.

On the day of the exam, wear a skirt or pants, rather than a dress, since you’ll need to remove your top for the test. Don’t wear deodorant or antiperspirant, since these can show up on the film and interfere with the test results.

Avoid scheduling your mammogram at a time when your breasts are swollen or tender, such as right before your period.

Discuss your family history of breast and other cancers — from both your mother's AND father’s side — with your doctor.

If you don’t receive any results within 30 days, call your doctor or testing facility to ask for the results.

Mammography is our most powerful breast cancer detection tool. However, mammograms can still miss 20% of breast cancers that are simply not visible using this technique. Other important tools — such as breast self-exam, clinical breast examination, and possibly ultrasound or MRI — can and should be used as complementary tools, but there are no substitutes or replacements for a mammogram.

An unusual result requiring further testing does not always mean you have breast cancer. According to the American Cancer Society, about 10% of women (1 in 10) who have a mammogram will require more tests.

Only 8-10% of these women will need a biopsy, and about 80% of these biopsies will turn out not to be cancer. It’s normal to worry if you get called back for more testing, but try not to assume the worst until you have more information.

When to get a mammogram
There's a lot of confusion out there about when and how often to get a mammogram. For now, the recommendation is that women get a mammogram once a year, beginning at age 40. If you're at high risk for breast cancer, with a strong family history of breast or ovarian cancer, or have had radiation treatment to the chest in the past, it's recommended that you start having annual mammograms at a younger age (often beginning around age 30). This, however, is something that you should discuss with your health care provider.

Mammograms don’t prevent breast cancer, but they can save lives by finding breast cancer as early as possible. For example, mammograms have been shown to lower the risk of dying from breast cancer by 35% in women over the age of 50. In women between ages 40 and 50, the risk reduction appears to be somewhat less. Leading experts, the National Cancer Institute, the American Cancer Society, and the American College of Radiology now recommend annual mammograms for women over 40.

Finding breast cancers early with mammography has also meant that many more women being treated for breast cancer are able to keep their breasts. When caught early, localized cancers can be removed without resorting to breast removal (mastectomy).

The main risk of mammograms is that they aren’t perfect. Normal breast tissue can hide a breast cancer so that it doesn't show up on the mammogram. This is called a false negative. And mammography can identify an abnormality that looks like a cancer, but turns out to be normal. This "false alarm" is called a false positive. Besides worrying about being diagnosed with breast cancer, a false positive means more tests and follow-up visits, which can be stressful. To make up for these limitations, more than mammography is often needed. Women also need to practice breast self-examination, get regular breast examinations by an experienced health care professional, and, in some cases, also get another form of breast imaging, such as breast MRI or ultrasound.

Some women wonder about the risks of radiation exposure due to mammography. Modern-day mammography only involves a tiny amount of radiation — even less than a standard chest x-ray.

Fish spa treatment may spread water-borne germs

SUBANG JAYA: People using fish spa treatment have been warned of possible health risks due to the nature of the treatment and the use of untreated water.

“Our concern is the spread of water-borne germs as not only one person uses the fish pond,” said Health Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai.

Citing an example, he said a person with an infected leg may spread it to the other users of the pond.

“Also a concern is that the water in the pond is not treated with chlorine or changed regularly,” he added.

However, Liow said the ministry was merely issuing a health advisory and not a ruling.

Liow was speaking to reporters after closing the National Combi (Communication for Behavioural Impact) Convention here yesterday.

A United Kingdom Health Protection Agency had reported that fish spa treatment could be risky for those with weak immune systems or underlying medical conditions.

Fish spa treatment involves patrons placing their feet in tanks of warm water containing dozens of tiny scavenger fish which are said to clean and exfoliate the skin by taking tiny bites.

Liow said there were no immediate plans to act against fish spa operators.

Think Happy Thoughts and Eventually the'll come true

Today is my off day after 9 days training..my feet really pain as i stood for almost 9 hours per day..i just stay at home the whole day..washed all my clothes, cooked and cleaned the house..i am allergic to dust and dirty floor..

Time flew so fast..i forgot that i need to buy a pair of shoes for work..i can't wear the shoes that my mom bought for me..it makes my heels pain..feel like its going to come out...huhu...so i went out and bought a new shoes..not expensive one..what a relief...i hope this new shoes will not give me prob tomorrow..

After practicing docking and stretching the pizza daugh, i can already handle it well..they even use it for customer order..3 of my pizza crust being sell yesterday..1 Large New York Crust and 2 Regular Hand Toast Crust....I'm so proud la..haha..and also i did the itemizing (toping the pizza)...u might thing that it was nothing..but for me..its something..coz its really hard to prepare for the crust..

Tomorrow i already start working in shift..i will work on the morning shift until Saturday..then Sunday i will go for evening shift..I love this job so much..like the Manager said, 'If u wanna success, do what ever u do with passion'..i am trying create passion now..and its coming bit by bit..

On the third day we already being sent outlet..this outlet as i told in my previous entry is 5 star outlet..5 or 6 months straight..cool uhh..

What we have learnt for the pas 8 days was really something new to me..i learnt how to docking and stretching the pizza dough..how to put the topping, the sauces, cheese and many more..i learnt how to prep all the stock..how to proof the dough..sounds like easy uhh..its easy when u r an experienced manager..so many things to remember ok..we have to stand almost 9 hours per day..STAND..not sit..my feet feel very pain..but its cool..i love my job now..

Today we managed to talk with the B*****R Restaurant Manager named Mr Hairi..yeah..his name same with my trainer name..he shared with us many things..he one of Domino's best manager...i'm glad to know him..he has wide experience and knowledge..he personally taught us today on how to do the itemizing..how to prep stock and so on..he has show us how to do it in only 30 min..so easy..haha..

The best part is when he shared on the incentives he got and he even maintained to get 12 months bonus and so on..haha..its good to hear it..haha..well..its not possible to become like him..he has 3 promotion last year..early year, middle of the year and end of the year..he is now Senior Restaurant Manager..i hope i will become like him one day..

I did ask what are his secret weapon to be very successful manager and he explain..he is a great guy la..he just 23 years old..and have so much achievement in his career..im going to be like him soon..we already got so much info from him..thanks to him..to be continue ok..im sleepy..good nite..sweet dream ok..

Good Morning!!

It has been so long i havent blogwalking..i miss ur all blogs so much..my off day will be on this thursday..i hope i can manage to go through all..insyaAllah..i have been working for more than a week now..what i can say that F&B is really cool and hectic job..but enjoyable..

My first day at the HQ was ok..i met some new friends..actually all together we have about 11 MIT for this training..alhamdulillah so the head count is still 11..i heard in some other batches, there is MIT who resigned..and i hope i'm not gonna be one of them, insyaAllah..

Most of the team member are younger that me..there is a guy who older than us that is Mr Andy..he was working in Vietnam before but being retrenched due to economic problem..pity him..this happen to my team member named Sabri also..he was giving VSS 7 months ago due to company financial prob..haih..pity them la..

Others are really young..there are 2 fresh graduate in our team..one of then is doing her master but postponed as she got this offer..all of them are really cool, funny, caring and socialable..in our team member also we have a guy who actually a Domino's staff named Firdaus (funny guy)..he was a pizza maker before and being promoted as MIT..i guess daily operation isnt really hard for him compared to us especially me..

From northern region, all together we have 4 person including me who is Mr Andy, Kris dan Husna the master girl..We have 2 from Negeri Sembilan who is Ila and Alia..both of then was a TGV staff..boleh tengok wayang free hari2..huhu..from Perak we have Sabri, Wani and Irma..and from here herself is Zatie..

Our first day is just an orientation, briefing and class..same with second day..on third day we already being located at the outlet..and our training centre is in B*****R..huhu..this is the international 5 star outlet..cool isn't it..i will continue more ok..i have to go as it already 7.15am..have a nice day guys..

My dear peep-pals..how r ya all doing..? well i guess u guys r doing so well rite..its already new year..i just realized it last nite..haha..what a very hectic week i had..everything turning upside down..haha..i bet u already knows what i am into..

My new job is super interesting and enjoyable..our trainer is super cool and helping...but ofcoz strict..but he more likely to be like a friend rather a teacher or trainer or guider or what ever u call him..i start to like an love my job now..even its stressful and always in rush..i love it so much..i learned so many things for the past 5 days..i will tell u guys later ok..

Today i went to my cousin brother wedding..its a 'wow' wedding actually..the best was there was a charlie aircraft circling in the air in 3 times round.. it flew very low to pay tribute to the newly wed couple..weird? haha..both of them are captain in rank..my cousin brother served in the air force while his wife is in RAMD..their wedding was filled with military custom..hmm nice..unfortunately i couldn't enjoy it so much as I'm not feeling well since yesterday..the food was ok..the goodies was ok too..as usual my mom family will give Laddu to all the guest during wedding..we gave laddu too during my big sis wedding last year..I managed to take video..will upload it later as i have no mood now..

Tomorrow I'll be going to KL..a bit sad to leave my mom alone..but what to do..its for better future..better life..I'm really really sad..I'm gonna miss my mom so much..I dont know how am I gonna leave alone there coz all this while i have her beside me all the time..hmm..hope everything will be ok..uwaaaaaa! tsk tsk tsk...

How they trap you into drug syndicate?

While searching for Anak Mami Kembali movie in youtube, i found this very useful video..It was a campaign by Singapore authorities i guess ..its about how one (girls especially) can trapped into drugs syndicate and become a drug mule without knowing it..actually most of them are being victimized..ofcoz immigration officer or even the court won't believe you if u said that u don't know how those drugs get into ur luggage..

We cannot say that only black will do things like this..as u can see from the video, there is local citizen involvement..I hope this will help us to be more careful in everyday life..we will never know what might happen to us in the future..well as mentioned earlier not only black will do this evil things..we may be deceived by our own race..

So just be extra careful..do not easily trust people u just know for 3 second..when people offer you for free holiday, think 100 times coz it might be a trap..DO NOT LET OTHER PEOPLE PACK YOU THINGS..if the person offer you to borrow his/her bag, DO NOT TAKE IT..do not take any parcel from them to be transported with you..just be aware and always open your eyes widely..the most importantly, do not be deceived by wealth..

Parents are the best example for children..how we walk that's how they walk, how we eat that's how they eat, how we speak that's how they talk and so on so forth..well you may not noticed this but if you look very carefully u may find it..

The most common problem faced by parents is when their children are stubborn..the worst is when they start to shout at you..hah !feel like slapping that cute lil mouth..actually its not their fault..remember that this lil fellas copycat everything from you..YES YOU..do u ever sit down n think back how did u speak with your husband, your mom, your friends, your neighbors or even with them? Well, you better do it rite now~

The way they talk to you is actually the way you talk to them or people around you..when you shouting at them or at people around you, they will think that this is the correct way to talk with people...they learn everything from you..and ofcoz its start from the beginning..i mean its start when they are babies..have you heard this "monkey see, monkey does'?

When i was doing my degree, i did read a journal about this..so from now on, stop blaming your children for their bad behavior..as parents it is our responsibility to correct them when they wrong and be a good idol to them..the first thing you have to do is..reset you mind and your attitude, insyaAllah they will become distinguished and outstanding in future..

KUALA LUMPUR, 20 Dis — Persatuan Pengguna Islam Malaysia (PPIM) mendesak Kementerian Dalam Negeri (KDN) mengharamkan kemasukan warga Afrika terutamanya dari Nigeria, didakwa banyak menimbulkan masalah sosial di negara ini.

Penasihat PPIM, Tunku Azwil Tunku Abdul Razak berkata, kerajaan perlu bertindak tegas terhadap mereka kerana banyak aduan mengenai penipuan ‘black money’ dan penipuan menerusi Internet melibatkan warga Afrika yang dikenali sebagai ‘Awang Hitam’.

“Kami telah menerima antara 70 hingga 80 aduan dari mangsa penipuan Awang Hitam ini yang dikenali melalui Internet,” katanya pada sidang akhbar di sini hari ini.

Katanya lagi, yang anehnya ramai yang menjadi mangsa ialah golongan cerdik pandai dan profesional yang terlibat dalam cinta Internet dengan ‘Awang Hitam’.

“Oleh itu Kementerian Pengajian Tinggi hendaklah memastikan mereka yang mahu belajar sahaja perlu diberi visa pelajar. Kami mencadangkan supaya had kewangan mereka dikenakan supaya mereka yang ada wang sahaja yang perlu masuk untuk belajar,” katanya lagi. Tambahnya, apa yang berlaku, mereka tiada wang untuk belajar tetapi mereka masuk ke negara ini untuk bekerja pula.

“Kalau setakat mereka mencari makan, kami tak kisah. Sebaliknya mereka mengganggu ketenteraman awam dan anak-anak gadis tempatan,” katanya lagi.

Tunku Azwil kesal kerana masalah ini sudah berlarutan sejak tahun 80an lagi tetapi kerajaan tidak bertindak tegas.

I guess not only Malaysia face this prob, other country also face the same thing..ofcoz not all black r bad..but because of one small group,the whole country have to bear the consequences..

Hello Peep-pals,

Last Friday me n mom went shopping..actually we r looking for a long sleeves white tee, black pants and shoes for me..as I'm going for the MIT this 27 Dec 2011..oh ! those who r still blur click here to see what MIT is..We have been walking around the mall but couldn't find it..they don't have long sleeves white tee..all i found is short sleeves white tee with collar..euww..I grabbed long sleeves purple tee instead of long sleeves white tee..huhu..

I didn't get my black pants too as the price is extremely expensive..hoh..the price does not match the quality ok..so i decided not to buy it..Our next agenda is to find a pair of shoes for me..it should be black n fully covered..it's not that i don't have one..but mine is sandal type and wedges..they will kick me out if i wear those kind of shoes ofcoz..at first i decide to buy sneakers..but i think with my age now and the position they offer me i should not be a fool and aggravated myself by wearing sneakers..so i found a nice sporty pump shoes which really suit my taste..unfortunately, they don't have it in my size..at last we walk out the mall with great disappointment..~sigh~

My mom decided that we should go on Saturday n get all the stuffs i need to bring with me next week..i just said yes as i was disappointed..So Yesterday we just went to Giant nearby my house n get all the toiletries for me..then mom said i should look at the garment department maybe they have the white shirt..DAMN..they have ok..haha..i was happy then...i grabbed one..i need to wear it on the first day b4 they give me the uniform..there are several brand...i chose the good one ofcoz, coz its thick n soft..hah..what a release...

After buy all the things i need to bring to kl, we decided to go n look for the shoes..well..the branch here only have few choice BUT..haha..i found the one that i like so much..n they have my size too..i'm happy..i even got my black pants..but not from Giant ofcoz..i went to my fav tailor n he will tailored it for me n promise that it will be ready by tomorrow..hoho..great..i'm happy..

Good-day Peeps,

Im happy today..coz finally its confirmed..remember my last post about the phone call from Domino's Pizza? Click here for the post..Well actually i did apply for Domino's Pizza Restaurant Manager last month during the Career Fair in Penang..then after a weeks (or 2) they call me for an interview..so i went there...it was actually the first interview..the interviewer named Mr Tan didn't ask so much..actually it wasn't like an interview at all..it was like a briefing of how is the process of becoming a restaurant manager will be..

So he explain, first i will have to go for training..at this time my position will be Manager in Training. Then after 13 weeks they will assign me to the nearest domino's outlet to my hometown as assistant manager..As they r planning to open 1 outlet in my hometown probably i will in charge there..or they will send me to somewhere nearby..hmm..i don't mind where they will located me..

Then he said someone will call me next week..then a girl call me ask me to go for 2nd interview..this one was a REAL interview..ok to be honest..i never go for an interview..haha..so i was so nervous n panic i don't know here was that place..n was lost too..well the walk in interview was started at 4..i reached there at 5..*good..

Well as it was a walk in interview ofcoz i have to wait like 1 hour for my turn (as i reach late too..haha..first come first served)..when my turn came..i was so nervous..i even got a very low marks for my IQ test..haha..the interviewer (i didnt know his name as he never intro himself) asked me so many question (typical interview questions)..haha..n my answer was really funny n sounds stupid too..i think he might noticed that kept playing with my ring..aha..one question he asked me..'What skill should a manager have?' hoh! i was blank..then suddenly one of the staff came n talked with him..i was like 'think, think'..haha..then i got the answer..phew!!

Lastly he said, 'my girl will give u a call next week'..then i went back..hoho..i felt stupid..i was driving in regret the whole way back home..i am stupid..that what i was thinking..hhmm..then last friday the officer named Vijaya called me..he said that i got the job but will confirm back with me once she got all my document..hoho..i waited nearly the whole week for them to call me..as they didn't call me..i thought i should give them a call..who knows that they might change their mind..haha crazy thought..

Then its confirmed then..I'm one of Domino's Malaysia team now..I don't mind if my salary isn't much..i just want a new experience, a new start and be happy..that's all..I'll be reporting my duty on 27 Dec 2011..i'll be staying at my sister's house (well..she also need someone to take care the house too as she already move to Sarawak)..hmm..Wish me luck guys..

Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah ibni Sultan Badlishah, GCB KStJ (born 28 November 1927) is the 14th and current Yang di-Pertuan Agong (head of state) of Malaysia, as well as the 27th and current Sultan of Kedah. He previously served as the fifth Yang di-Pertuan Agong from 1970 to 1975. He is the first person to hold the position twice, (as a Kedahan, I'm so proud) as well as the oldest elected to the office.

Early career

Born at Istana Anak Bukit near Alor Star as Tunku Abdul Halim, he was the second, but eldest surviving son, of Sultan Badlishah (born 1894; reigned 1943–1958), who later became the 27th Sultan of Kedah. His mother was Tunku Sofiah binti Tunku Mahmud (born 1910), who died in an automobile accident on 28 February 1935. Tunku Abdul Halim's maternal grandfather, Tunku Mahmud, was once Raja Muda or heir presumptive to the throne of Kedah.

He was educated at Alor Merah and Titi Gajah Malay schools and Sultan Abdul Hamid College in Alor Star between 1946 and 1948. He went on to Wadham College, Oxford and obtained a Diploma in Social Science and Public Administration. He subsequently joined the Kedah Administrative Service, serving in the Alor Star district office and later, the state treasury.

On 6 August 1949 he was appointed Raja Muda or heir apparent and succeeded as twenty-eighth Sultan of Kedah on his father's death on 15 July 1958.^[3] He was installed at the Balai Besar in Alor Star on 20 February 1959.^[4]

First Election as Deputy King

Tuanku Abdul Halim (as he became), served as Deputy Yang di-Pertuan Agong between 21 September 1965 and 20 September 1970.

The Yang di-Pertuan Agong in a carriage with Elizabeth II on a state visit to London, 1974.

Tuanku Abdul Halim was elected as the fifth Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia and served his term in office from 21 September 1970 to 20 September 1975.

He is the third youngest monarch to ascend the throne of Yang di-Pertuan Agong after Tuanku Syed Putra of Perlis and Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin of Terengganu.

During his kingship, Tuanku Abdul Halim presided over the first transfer of power of the civilian government when his uncle, Prime Minister Tunku Abdul Rahman resigned in favour of his deputy Tun Abdul Razak. Tunku Abdul Rahman had felt that he should not serve under a nephew, given strict Malay royal protocol, but agreed to stay on as prime minister for one day of Tuanku Abdul Halim's reign.

Second election as Deputy King

On 2 November 2006, Tuanku Abdul Halim was for the second time elected Deputy Yang di-Pertuan Agong to serve a five-year term beginning 13 December 2006. He is the third person to have been elected twice to this office, after Tuanku Jaafar of Negeri Sembilan and Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin of Terengganu.

From 13 December 2011, he will become the first person to be elected twice as Yang di-Pertuan Agong and the oldest sultan to be crowned in such position (at 84 years 15 days), beating the previous record holder, Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz of Selangor, who was crowned at 73 years 49 days.

Second election as King

In October 2011, Abdul Halim was elected to serve a second term as the Yang di-Pertuan Agong to commence on 13 December 2011. He will become the first person to hold the position twice.

A council of regency consisting of his brothers Tunku Annuar, Tunku Sallehuddin, Tunku Abdul Hamid Thani, and daughter Tunku Puteri Intan Safinaz will discharge his duties as Sultan of Kedah while he serves his term as King.

Family Life

Tuanku Abdul Halim has two wives:

Tuanku Bahiyah, daughter of Tuanku Abdul Rahman of Negeri Sembilan, married 1956. She served as Sultanah of Kedah and Raja Permaisuri Agong. She died on 26 August 2003 at Istana Kuala Cegar in Alor Star. They have 3 daughters: Tunku Soraya, Tunku Sarina and Tunku Intan Safinaz. Tunku Soraya and Tunku Sarina are twins. The daughters produce 5 grandchildren: three grandsons, Raja Nabil Imran, Raja Idris Shah and Raja Siffudin Muadzam and two granddaughters, Raja Sarina Bahiyah and Raja Safia Azizah.
Cik Haminah binti Hamidun, married 1975. A commoner from Perak, she was titled Che Puan Kedah until 9 January 2004 when she was promoted to Sultanah.

Men, your WiFi may be zapping your sperm

Laptop computers with WiFi may be damaging men's sperm, at least according to a new study published last week in the journal Fertility and Sterility.

To test the theory, Argentinian researchers put drops of healthy sperm near a laptop downloading data. After four hours, a quarter of the sperm had stopped swimming, compared to 14 percent of sperm in the control group placed away from the computer. In addition, 9 percent of sperm near the computer had DNA damage, three times more than the sperm in the control group.

The culprit? Electromagnetic radiation from the wireless internet, noted the scientists. Still, they say at this point the results are not conclusive until more research can be done.

In another study published in the same journal, US researchers placed temperature sensors on the scrotums of 29 men. The men set to work using laptop computers on their laps, and after 10 to 15 minutes had elapsed, scrotum temperatures rose to levels known to damage sperm production.

For maximum sperm production, testicles need to remain cool, even one to two degrees below body temperature. Using a laptop computer can cause temperatures to rise by 2.5°C in one hour, according to the study.

Safe...

One way around this problem? Use a desk. Or try a laptop pad and keep your legs apart, but men, this will only buy you 20 minutes before your testicles heat up to sperm-killing temperatures, according to the study's lead urologist Dr. Yefim Sheynkin of the University of New York at Stony Brook.

616 Malaysians under detention abroad for smuggling drugs

Hmm..sometimes we only focus on how Iranian, African, Pakistan and other people from around the globe being arrested for smuggling drugs into our country..but we forgot that there are hundreds of our people out there around the globe being in the same shoes with those 'drug mule' we caught..Its reported to be around 616 people..but i think the number is greater than that..

We tend to point our finger to them (foreigner)..even the good one also has been accused bad..why the offense committed by another person should be placed on the shoulders of innocent people..we became angry when the world accuses Islam of being a terrorist..don't u think they feel the same way when we keep accusing them being a trouble maker or drug dealer or bad person in our country..?

Not all of them are bad ofcoz and not all of our people are good..yes they are foreigner..but the are also human being..just respect them and accept them in our society..there are some of them are good..this is no one country..everything belongs to Allah..just share everything we have with others and live in harmony..

Below is the news on the 616 Malaysians under detention abroad for smuggling drugs..i just pity them..but nothing can we do..

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 8 (Bernama) -- A total 616 Malaysians are under detentionabroad after they were arrested for attempting to smuggle drugs for syndicatesin the last five years.

Deputy Foreign Minister, Senator A. Kohilan Pillai said, of the total, 449were Chinese, 104 Malays, 50 Indians and 13 others."The ''drug mules'' are being detained in Thailand (192), Singapore (155),China (92), Indonesia (43), Taiwan (32), Australia (23), Spain (20), Brazil(17), Japan (10), and eight each in Brunei, Cambodia, Peru and Venezuela," he said when answering a question from Senator M.Malasingam.

To a supplementary question from Senator Mohd Khalid Ahmad on measures toprevent youths from being involved with the syndicates, he said Wisma Putra wasworking closely with the police and institutions of higher learning."We try to prevent youths from being duped by drug syndicates throughcontinuous cooperation and numerous awareness campaigns and programmes.

"On the part of the ministry, Wisma Putra recently, through a live RadioTelevision Malaysia telecast in the Drug Mule dialogue segment had advised thepublic, especially parents and women, against being victimised by suchsyndicates," he said.-- BERNAMASFA NAK AZ MO

Many of us go online for no reason

NEW YORK (AP) — For anyone who needed official word, a new study confirms that many of us — and the majority of young adults — go online for no good reason at all.

The report from the Pew Research Center's Internet & American Life Project found that on any given day, 53 percent of 18 to 29 year-olds go online just to have fun or pass time.

That should explain all those kitten videos.

The report finds that the amount of time people spend tooling around on the Web doing nothing corresponds with age. Only 12 percent of people over 65 say they went online the previous day for no particular reason. Of those aged 50 to 64, the study found 27 percent answered yes to the same question.

In all, 58 percent of all adults said that they use the Internet to pass time or have fun at least occasionally. Of adults who use the Internet, nearly three-quarters surf the Web for no reason.

The survey didn't define "fun," so people could interpret it broadly. For some people, gossip blogs might be fun, for others, they're serious research.

Pew is releasing the study on Friday. The phone survey was conducted from July 25 to Aug. 26 among 2,260 American adults.

Beef Oblong Burger Style

This is one of the best food i ever ate..I bought it for lunch this afternoon..Well actually this is my lunch for the entire last week..The taste was superb..Its from Cik Ein Burger stall in front of my office..This actually the famous burger maker in my hometown..Just say the name everybody know..he's been in this business for 23 years now..can u imagine that..

Morning Peep-Pals,

How was ur nite?talking about nite..sleep..its so close with bedroom..what is the main attraction in bed room? BED..ofcoz..haha..bed is important...it should be cozy..the mattress plays a big role in giving a good sleep at nite..so do choose the best mattress ok..

I'm not going to talk about mattress now..what i'm gonna share with u guys is weird yet modern types of bed..well at least we know that the bed doesn't need to be solid square..huhue..enjoy!!

Not bad..I dont know why i feel like it has Thai's element..

Egg shape bed..its like living in star wars world..huhu

Hah..im not gonna sleep in this bed..scary..ignore the other pic..i also don't understand it..

The Left one is nice..feel like living in Hercules time..haha..the top right..hmm..shrek is all i can think about now..not bad..full of fairy tale..and the bottom right..hmm.i have no comment..haha..

This one is not suitable for two..especially couple..the chain might not strong enough to support..but still cute and nice..

What a good morning....Pancake, anyone?

Morning Uols,

Happy Saturday..its already Dec 3rd..hah..times fly really fast..what's for breakfast? hmm..this morning i was thinking of making pancake..of coz my quick pancake..haha..but this time not as lazy as b4..i made it step by step..its ok if u do step by step or just pour everything inside n blend..coz the texture will be the same..yeah..i still used blender to mix it..

First, prepare ur flour..

What's inside the bowl?

20 table spoon of wheat flour

1 tea spoon of baking powder

1 teaspoon of bicarbonated soda

If u like u can also add herbs like cinnamon or nutmeg..

Ok..lets do it step by step..this time i have measured the quantity of ingredient so that u can also try this at home..

What's in the blender?

4 table spoon of brown sugar (u can add more if u want it to be sweet)

1 egg

1/2 can of evaporated milk (its like 200g)

a pinch of salt

1 tea spoon of vanilla essence (just to add flavor to the batter..)

Blend it all together for about 1-2 minutes or until well mix..

Next, put flour bit by bit until finish..

Mix well..

U can add water if the batter is to thick..

Once ready pour into a pot

This is how u can cook it..

U can also use flat pan if u do not have this kind of tiny pan..

U can cook it plain or sprinkle some brown sugar on top of it..

I did sprinkle with milo..its yummy..huhu..

U can also put raisin or any dried fruits u have too..

Tadaaaa.....ready to eat..

My bro ate this with chocolate ice cream..and he said it was heaven..haha..

I know many of u have problem in placing nuffnang ads in between ur post..i've been trying it nearly 2 years now..i kept changing my background bcoz of this..yet..still cannot place it in between my post..huh!

Is it so important? haha..hell no..up to u..but im sure u also wanna place it there as every bloggers do rite..today i was just scrolling up and down my HTML template..Try to put here n there..none..it didn't stay at the place i want..hmm..

I went to ceera page again (after like gazillions trial b4 this)..fail again..coz i didnt find the code she mention inside my template..hmm..i went to nuffnang n check it..huh..i know nothing about this html/coding things..nothing..zero ok..jenuh beliak2 bijik mata..i start scrolling and pointing one by one..trial n error until at last..hah!! I GOT IT..~happy mode~

So, i think of sharing it with uol..so for those who have the same prob with me..this might help you..just give it a try ok..who knows it might work on urs as it worked on mine..

First u need to expand ur widget template..its a MUST..i copied this pic from nuffnang..so u can refer to this pic how to do it..

Actually, school holiday isn't synonym with wedding only..this is the time where parent start planning for their boy(s) to go for khatan or sunat (circumcision)..hmm..ya la..its a long holiday ma..so..are u ready boys...haha..

During my dad's time, he said it was difficult to circumcised boys because the methods used are very scary..so the boys wil start running away..now..hmm..they even ask their parent when they can go for it..haha..time has changed uhh..

This is the reason why we are not allowed to use mobile phone at petrol station..Some people are so stubborn and they keep using it like no one business..hello dear..its everyone business coz u might blow up the petrol station n many people may die or badly injured..n someone (police, firemen, paramedic) will have to clean your mess..

I just came back from TM Point near my office..paying all the bills..actually since morning i've been trying to pay it but i could see from outside that there were so many people there..hmm..so i think i would go back there in the afternoon..i went straight to office..doing some work and ofcoz set my auto published entry..haha..

I went back to TM at 3.30pm..hell..the crowd is still the same..i just parked my car n went in..i was really shocked when i looked at the number on my ticket..huh..5612..and the number they were calling at that time was 5576..at this time all i think was coming back tomorrow morning..but if my mom knows, she will kill me with her nag..ahaha..i prefer stand n wait rather than being nagged by my mom..boleh barah telinga wooo...

I didn't wait so long..as they did their work really fast..i think i just waited for 20 minutes..hell fast rite..thanks to TM staffs..as they r really efficient..they managed to finish up to 40 customer within 20 minutes..~bagi tabik sprig sekali~

This is a true incidence reported of a boy aged 19, who was studying in 1st year of engineering, who died in Keshvani Hospital, Mumbai. He was admitted in the Hospital as a burned patient. Reason ??

This boy had gone to Amravati (a place located in State of Maharashtra ) on a study tour, on their return they were waiting at the railway station to catch the train. Many of them started taking pictures of their friends using "Mobile Phones" and / or "Digital Camera". One of them complained that, he was unable to capture the full group of friends in one frame in the Digicam.

This boy moved away to a distance to get the whole group.He failed to notice that at an angle above his head, 40,000 volts electrical line was passing through.As soon as he clicked the digital camera? 40,000 volt current passed through the camera flash light to his camera and then from his camera to his fingers & to his body. All this happened within a fraction of a second. His body was half burned.

They arranged for an ambulance & his burned body was brought to Keshavani Hospital, Mumbai.For one & half days or so he was conscious & talking. Doctors did not have much hopes as there was a lot of complex issues in his body. He passed away later.

Now how many of us are aware about these technical threats & dangers? Even if we are, how many of us are adhering??

Now should we call ourselves as educated and knowledgeable people?

Please avoid mobile phones on petrol outlets.

Please avoid talking on mobile phones while driving.

Please avoid talking on mobile phones while kept in charging mode without disconnecting from wall socket.

Please do not keep mobile phones on your bed while charging and / on wooden furniture.

Avoid using mobile phones / Digital cameras near high voltage electrical lines like in railway stations and avoid using flash.

Guys..have u ever heard or know or even eat persimmon or as local said as "buah pisang kaki"?..the scientific name for this fruit is Diospyros Kaki.. i think this where the got the name "buah pisang kaki"..hehe..

Its has been mass planted in China, Korea, Japan, Brazil, Italy, Israel, New Zealand, Iran, Australia and Maxico..the biggest producer of this fruit in the world ofcoz China as in 2005, they has produced 1,837,000 tonnes of it...wow!! then followed by Korea 250,000 tonnes , Japan 230,000 tonnes and Brazil 150,000 tonnes..the rest country mentioned above produced less than 55,000 tonnes on that year..

Guys Persimmon is a deep orange, waxy fruit which similar to tomato in shape..it is native to China and then being introduce to Japan and other countries..Persimmons which have dark colored flesh are has non-astringent taste and very sweet..it should be eaten before it become too soft..

Persimmons which have light colored flesh has astringent taste even until it's soften..this is becoz of the presence of large amount of tannin inside it..tannin also can be found in tea and banana skin..however, the tannin will disappears when the fruits start to ripe.

Persimmon will start to ripe on tree..during harvest time, the harvester will make sure that the fruits do not fall down to avoid bruise and damage..so they will put extra care to it and pamper it so that the flesh won't get soften n mushy..yuck!!

I like persimmons so much especially the dried one..it's soooooo sweeeeeetttt..dried persimmon is only can be found in market in large quantity during Chinese New Year..what i mean is, they will start selling it 2-3 months before Chinese New Year..so at this time i will go n borong sakan...haha..makan sampai kembong!!

Pisang kaki or persimmon is also my mom and dad favorite..last week they bought some from Tesco..well fresh persimmon can be found in market all the time..at least whenever i wanna eat they are there..huhu..i think it is not a seasonal fruit (correct me if i'm wrong)..what ever it is..i like it so much..

There two types of dried persimmon as u can see from the picture above..one is without sugar another one is with sugar..i think the white powder on it is sugar coz it's sweet (correct me if i'm wrong again...~shame~..)..

The white one is really dried..this one can easily be found in market..i still remember 12 years ago i went to Padang Besar n saw they sell it..that was the first time i ate it n i like it till now..there were so many..huh..its like a huge dried persimmon market..i wonder if now they still sell it or not coz the last time i went there..no more..

According to my late grandfather (my mother side), this dried persimmons always being use in lai chee kang as it helps too cool ur body from inside..hmm..

Another one is plain..this is the one i said not easily be found..it is like 70% dried..the flesh inside is smooth and sweet..i like this one so so so muchos..i will go n get it once it's available in market..haha..

Hmm..i'm not disappointed at all when we being defeated by Syra last nite..The squad have play so hard ok..n we must considered also that they just came back from Jakarta then without proper rest have to faced Syra..what should we expect..the opponent managed to get 2 goals..weren't we good enough..? our beloved goalkeeper, Apex, is the best goalkeeper in SEA ok..Tabik spring la...Hebatttt!!!!

In my opinion,the match last nite rely more on players spirit..they have less energy after their match with Indonesia..the strength is not there even not all from the last match played in this match..after all i'm proud of them..this is what we call spirit..they have played very hard attacked and defended our goal..thanks guys..~panjang mukhadimah~

hmm..actually i have another story to share here..I just came back from somewhere...hmm..i don't know what is the result..but they said they will call me tomorrow or at least before tuesday..we gonna see how..i'm not putting any hope..coz i know my ability and capability..if they call, then i'm happy..if not i should try again some other time..

When i got their first call 2 days ago, i didn't feel anything..not happy also..until this morning when i reached there..the nervous feeling came and felt like peeing in my pants..huhu..this is my first time ok..then when my time came..huaaaaa!!! habes la..it was so quick..n i feel like a silly dumb uneducated girl sitting there..suddenly i got a mental blocked and zipped mouth..hah..what is this !! ~shout out loud~

Well to be positive, lets bygone be bygone..i have been through it..lets leave it to Allah hands..if there is my rezeki then i will got it..hmm..~sungguh positive sampai air mata merembes macam karakter anime~

Quick Pancake For Breakfast

Last weekend i was so rajin to prepare breakfast for me and my mom...so i was thinking of making pancake..coz its easy and yummy to eat..plus its fluffy too..how to do it..its really easy..i use blender instead of mixer..the ingredients i use is actually without proper measurement..but the result is outstanding....matikkk la...huhuh..

If u want the recipe all i can say is what i put inside the blender..the measurement..? haha..belasah jer...

Quick Pancake For Breakfast

2-3 cup of Wheat Flour, 1 egg, 1 ts baking powder, 1 ts bicarbonated soda, 1 ts vanilla essence 1 cup of evaporated milk/fresh milk , water (optional - to be add when the batter is too thick), 1-2 tbs brown sugar and pinch of salt

Mixed all this together inside a bowl and pour inside ur blender..blend it till its smooth..at the same time melt half of ur butter and pour inside the blender..

Make sure its has smooth texture..then leave it for a while before u start prepare it for ur love one..you also can garnish it with chunky nuts, chocolate chips, diced strawbery or any fruits u like, honer or just eat it plain..nice ok..try it urself..

I have skin problem..my face is so oily plus the burn, dull, blackheads and whiteheads..complete package..huh..i wonder why i got so many pimples nowadays..the cleanser i normally use is not helping anymore.. seriously need to change but i don't now which brand or product should i use..~sigh~

I need something that can reduce the shining face, combat blackheads and whiteheads, rejuvenate and whiten my skin..hoh..ade ke that kind of product..all in one..~cry out loud~

Kalah bola, pelajar Malaysia diugut bunuh di Indonesia

JAKARTA 22 Nov. - Pahitnya untuk menelan kekalahan pasukan Garuda Muda di tangan pasukan Harimau Muda pada pertandingan akhir bola sepak Sukan SEA 2011 di Stadium Utama, Gelora Bung Karno di sini malam tadi telah menyebabkan ada pihak menghantar ugutan bunuh terhadap pelajar Malaysia di Indonesia.

Ugutan itu yang disebarkan malam tadi melalui pengguna twitter bernama @hikmat—maswara kepada akaun twitter sebahagian besar artis Malaysia selepas keputusan sepakan penalti menentukan Malaysia menang berbunyi: “Tomorrow I will kill Malaysia student at the University of Padjadjaran” di Jatinangor, Bandung.

Setelah mendapat kecaman, pengguna twitter itu telah memohon maaf atas tulisannya itu, namun pihak Persatuan Kebangsaan Pelajar Malaysia di Indonesia tidak memandang ringan ugutan berkenaan dan telah membuat laporan polis berkaitan perkara itu.

Atase Pendidikan, yang juga Setiausaha I (Pendidikan) Jabatan Penuntut Malaysia di Indonesia, Ludinata Misnun berkata, twitter mengandungi ugutan itu telah tersebar luas di Malaysia.

"Selepas mendapat kecaman daripada pelbagai pihak, @hikmat—maswara telah memohon maaf di twitternya dan memaklumkan beliau tidak berniat untuk membunuh tetapi didasarkan rasa kecewanya atas kekalahan pasukan Indonesia kepada Malaysia dalam pertandingan akhir itu,” katanya di sini Selasa,” katanya.

Ludinata berkata, pimpinan PKPMI di Bandung telah membuat laporan polis pada pagi tadi di Jatinangor dan polis memberi jaminan akan menyiasat kes itu.

Pada masa yang sama Education Malaysia (EM) Indonesia dengan kerjasama Atase Polis dan Kedutaan Besar Malaysia di Jakarta akan memanjangkan perkara ini kepada Ibu Pejabat Polis Indonesia untuk tindakan selanjutnya.

"Saya juga telah menghubungi Rektor Universitas Padjadjaran, Bandung bagi meminta bantuan dan kerjasama universiti untuk memastikan keselamatan mahasiswa Malaysia di Universiti Padjadjaran, Bandung,” katanya.

Berikutan kes itu, EM Indonesia katanya telah meningkatkan pemantauan mahasiswa Malaysia di Bandung dan seluruh Indonesia.

Pada masa ini, ada 1,005 pelajar Malaysia menuntut di Universiti Padjajaran, iaitu mewakili sebahagian besar daripada sejumlah 1,148 pelajar Malaysia yang menuntut di institusi pendidikan tinggi sekitar Kota Bandung pada masa ini. - Bernama

I'm talking about this drink actually..this is new product from Cool Blog called Happy Blog..i did ask the staff there what is the difference between Happy Blog with other Cool Blog drink/blended drink..he said the differences are:

1. The cup is actually smaller than normal one as this is for kids

2. The flavor also different from normal one as it has its own.

3. They use special powder to make it

I ordered Green Apple Happy Blog with Black Pearl while June have her Chocolate Happy Blog with Black Pearl..the black pearl taste like "buah melaka"..i like i like i like..so yummy and happpppyyyyyyy !!!!!!!!
